The Only Good Indians By Stephen Graham Jones

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Only Good Indians is a Native American folklore tale about the cost of defying tradition & a supernatural being seeking revenge.

Four teenagers of the Blackfeet Nation decide to hunt on reservation land reserved for tribal elders, breaking a sacred tradition in more ways then they realize & awaken an entity that will stop at nothing to get her revenge.

While they desperately try to fix their mistake, it is of no use. She will wait & bide her time until the moment is right. As the teenagers grow up & move away from the reservation, they all begin to slowly see and hear things. At first, they think they are crazy, until they each remember what they did & realize that what was told to them as legend, is in fact real.

The story is dark, gritty & violent & a totally different kind of horror novel.
