#5onFriday: 5 Video Games To Play

This whole pandemic stay at home thing has really impacted my ability to do my some of my favorite creative things like blogging & reading a book just isn’t happening. I have found it difficult to concentrate and focus right now & find that the things that work for me are mindless activities. TV & movies are one method of escape for me right now. I’ve watched more Netflix & Hulu than I have in months. The other one is video games. I even downloaded Candy Crush onto my phone for the first time in years. I haven’t had a game on my phone for a few years now.

So, these are the 5 video games I’ve been immersing myself in:

  1. WOW Classic. I have not played World of Warcraft in over 10 years. Evil Husband & I have been talking about playing again recently & a few nights ago we made the plunge. We reactivated our old shared account & we have access to both WOW Classic & the regular game, however, several expansions have been released since we last played. We decided on WOW Classic, despite having level 80 characters in the regular game, because we have no idea how to play anymore.

WOW Classic does require a monthly subscription, however, there is a free trial up until level 20. Monthly subscription runs $14.99/month & they have 3 month or 6 months “deals” that average out to be less then the $15/month. I created my own account so that Evil Husband and I can play together.

    Available: PC & macOS

  2. Fallout 3. I’ve played Fallout 4 on PS4 & New Vegas as well. It’s been years since I played Fallout 3, so I decided to go back to my introduction to the Fallout franchise.

Fallout 3 is a post-apocalyptic role playing game where your character grows up in a vault underground & escapes into the wasteland of the D.C. area filled with raiders & all kinds

Available: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
  3. The Sims 4. There is no greater time sink than the Sims games. Hours to be spent in building & character creation mode alone. An even bigger time sink is searching & downloading all the custom content that is out there.

Available: PC, macOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One

  4. Skyrim. This game is always my go to game to play when I don’t know what I want to play. And one I have never finished in the almost 10 years its been out. But it is by far one of the most entertaining & fun games ever.

Available: PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch
  5. Red Dead Redemption 2. Fishing, hunting, poker, blackjack, stealing coaches are just a few of the things to do in RDR2. And, then there is the actual game itself.

Available: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia

What are you playing right now?
