This week’s Top Ten Tuesday list from That Artsy Reader Girl is the Ten Most Recent Additions To My Bookshelf. It took me a bit to remember everything we’ve acquired the past few shopping trips, but I’m pretty sure I got them all.
I’ve been working on collecting some of the remaining books I have been missing that are a part of a series. I use Goodreads tags for everything to sort my reading shelves & I created a library-shopping tag sorted by author to remind me of what I want to buy and what I’m missing. We also have our shared library on Google sheets to track all the books we currently own.
Recently, most of my finds have been at 2nd & Charles (used, of course), but I always do pretty well at the local library sales. I mean, you seriously can’t beat $1 hardcovers. If you are looking to find good used book sales, I highly recommend Book Sale Finder (U.S. & Canada only.) We usually hit up the libraries that are open every weekend once or twice a month, then the larger sales that are monthly or quarterly. I also recommended joining the “Friends of” for any library you plan on going to the larger sales frequently. Often they have early sales for just the friends and, trust me, some places you need to get in early. We are “Friends of” about 4 or 5 libraries that hold their sales once a month or quarterly. It is usually only about $15-20 for the entire year. Plus you’re helping out the local community library.
My Ten Most Recent Additions To My Bookshelf:
My most difficult find was Alice. This has been on my shopping list for quite a while. I’m happy to have a few more series completed too.
What have you added to your collection recently?
Books, mental health and books about mental health.
I read YA, romance, and thrillers...then I write mediocre reviews
